Reverend Percy McCray:
The ability to be able to be nondenominational and ecumenical is a very profound dynamic as I often share with people, I am not in the religious business, I am in the spirituality business, and what that really translates to me is that everybody share some type of core dynamic of spirituality whether expressed or not, whether defined or not, and if we can bring those individuals together and be a supportive environment for all of those different expressions, ideologies and mindsets, and see people comfortably come together without a sense of being judged or condemned and allow to express that in the way that is unique and germane to them is a very powerful dynamic at the end of the day because in some cases religion and spirituality has really divided people and separated people from one another.
Here, at the Cancer Treatment Centers of America we get to pull people together under that roof because we are committed to the universal umbrella that everybody’s spirituality matters and it should be inclusive of their care while they are here receiving treatment.
