VIDEO: Dr. Braun - Cancer Treatments, What Does CTCA Implement?

March 19, 2009 - 5:46pm 307 reads 0 comments

Dr. Braun shares the range of cancer treatments CTCA implements.

Dr. Braun:
We serve a population at Cancer Treatment Centers of America, which includes patients with the most complex and advanced cancers that are seen. In that setting, most of our patients have failed standard therapies and in many cases, attempts to salvage them with other modalities of treatment. Where we come in is to provide new ways of treating their cancer, often emphasizing novel ways of stimulating their immune system, of developing unique agents that target their cancer specifically so that we can provide new healing and hope modalities that no one else can provide. The kind of cutting edge therapies that we are talking about really are individualized to the patient themselves. We look to the patient to provide the source material, which we will then turn into novel treatment modalities.
