VIDEO: Dr. Raczkowski - What Inspires You To Help Heart Patients?

September 23, 2009 - 6:02pm 138 reads 0 comments

Dr. Raczkowski discusses his inspiration for treating heart patients.

Dr. Raczkowski:
What inspires me is what inspires most practitioners; we are here to help. These patients have very specific problems related to their heart. I have spent my entire life learning about those problems, learning about those disease processes and learning about how to fix them, and that’s basically what I am here for. I get a lot of satisfaction in seeing patients have their problems taken care of because I know they can go on to have a good quality of life for decades afterwards.

About Dr. Raczkowski, M.D.:
Dr. Allen Raczkowski, certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Thoracic Surgery, leads the robotic heart surgery program at Banner Heart Hospital. He has performed nearly 400 procedures using that surgical system, making the Banner Heart Hospital robotic surgery program one of the top three in the nation.
