Dr. Williams:
In order to prevent endometrial cancer it's important that a woman be having normal menstrual periods or cycling regularly. A woman not having a period the way she is supposed to puts her at increased risk of developing endometrial cancer where there is a continual build-up of the tissue, where it's not being shed properly.
