Dr. Williams:
For endometrial cancer there are multiple treatment options. When it is confined to the uterus, the best approach is a surgical approach and a patient will undergo surgery and sampling of the lymph nodes in the pelvis, depending on the stage of the cancer as well as the grade of the cancer. In other words, how far the cancer has spread or how aggressive it looks underneath a microscope. A woman may then require some radiation therapy.

We also know that for women who have more advanced disease that treating with chemotherapy, as well as the surgery and radiation therapy, has resulted in improved outcomes.
