Dr. Williams:
Ovarian cancer is one of those cancers that responds very well to chemotherapy. We’re fortunate in having multiple different chemotherapy options that are available. Certainly for patients whose cancer is detected early, they are more likely to survive longer, and for patients who have multiple recurrences of their cancer, it’s likely that the cancer would ultimately lead to their death.
