Katherine Puckett, Ph.D.:
in thinking about using yoga as a healing mind-body tool, going through a cancer treatment, sometimes women are concerned that it may be too strenuous, maybe they don’t feel like lying down on the floor. They have stereotyped images of doing yoga and, what I would want people to understand is that it can be done at the individual’s own ability, level of comfort.

So, if a person can’t do a full movement, they can do a piece of it. They can do it at their own level; they can sit on the chair if they can’t lie on the floor. So it can be adapted to a person’s level of ability.
