VIDEO: Reverend Percy McCray - How Does A Connection To God Help A Cancer Patient?

March 20, 2009 - 2:59pm 342 reads 0 comments

Reverend Percy McCray shares how a connection with God can help a patient cope with cancer.

Reverend Percy McCray:
Well, people who are connected to God basically are reinforced by several different things, number one, an internal sense of having a higher power working for them. And a higher power basically includes the ability to transfer thoughts of sorrow, depression, hopelessness into a place that will empower them to move beyond those circumstances and situations.

Psychologically, emotionally, people who are connected to God cope better with the challenges of sickness and disease. They have lower blood pressure, they have higher rates of recovery and overall they have a better optimistic prospective about their sickness and disease.
