In 2007 I moved to London to join the Metropolitan Police Service. This was a career I thought at the time was for life. In January 2012 I had a car accident in the execution of my duty and as a result I suffered with severe whiplash and back pain. In the July of the same year I was hit my a bus as a pedestrian also in the execution of my duty. Since then I have suffered with right side sciatic pain, neck spasms and have undergone major hip surgery 9 months ago. In addition to this I have experienced many other health challenges over the last 3 years in particular (and still am) including emergency hernia surgery in July 2014, kidney stones, anxiety attacks and am currently battling with what the doctors are diagnosing as IBS.
I had to ensure at 31 years old that I made the best recovery I could from my hip surgery as I was keen to avoid issues later in my life. The therapy required for me to do this became very expensive very quickly. I am extremely passionate about health and well-being after retraining as a Reflexologist and Reiki practitioner in 2013 and of course experiencing my own health challenges. I came to realise that so many people don't prioritise their health as they should, largely because they can't afford too in this financial climate. This is when I had the idea for the UK's first on line platform for more affordable therapy www.quotemytherapy.com
It allows therapists to give more flexible quotations on popular therapies and therefore giving people access to the therapies at a more affordable price.
"Your health is our priority and we want you to make it yours too"
My deepest passion is to encourage as many people as possible to make their health more of a priority.
