Imstillhere

I am 30 years old to date, but most days feel I feel like I have the body of a 90 year old woman. To try to keep things simple, I'll try to stick to facts keep it brief.
About 10 years ago I started having intense pain that I could not ignore. By chance I met the son of an amazing Neurologist who generously agreed to see me even though he accepts no new clients. My doctor was finally able to give me a proper diagnosis I could work with.
I suffer from a hodge-podge of annoying conditions. Starting with, terrible insomnia that has been treated to the point where I can only sleep while lightly medicated. I have had 2 sleep studies that have shown I have Restless Leg Syndrome, and Periodic Limb Movement. I often wake up in pain, that's where the real fun begins. I have extreme scoliosis, Fibromyalgia, and Degenerative Disc Syndrome. I have anxiety and struggle with depression.
These days I'm all about doing everything I can to be healthy and use every resource I can find to aid in my wellness. I see multiple doctors, a psychologist, a psychiatrist, and a physical therapist. I take an adaptive yoga class very week, see an acupuncturist/dietician/herbalist. I try to get massages when I can afford it.
Every day is different, every day is a challenge, but I'm still here, and as long as I am, I'm going to keep trying to find solutions to my situation. It's all I know how to do, just keep trying.
