I am a mother of one daughter (she's currently 14) and love her more than anything in life. She completely changed my life and the way I see life in general. I majored in college in pre-med but when I divorced her father, I had to return to work full-time. I made the decision that I would rather be there for my daughter and not miss her childhood, as opposed to being on-call 24/7. I have never regretted that decision and am glad I did.
I worked in the healthcare industry for approximately 15 years, including veterinary medicine, pharmacology, genetics and medical assisting. In 2004, I choose to take a risk by leaving the typical 8-5 employment way of life and started my own small-business. In addition, I returned to the performing arts as an actress and model (modeled when I was a child) and joined a wonderful company as an affiliate, where I can continue to work from home.
In spite of all my hard work and some success, my financial situation is less than modest. What I have come to realize is I was going to the wrong person for advice in regards to self-employment and business in general. The one career I have where I have done everything based on my own ideas and work, is where I am succeding the most (acting). I could write a book, but I think I will stop here....LOL Thanks for reading a little bit about me.
