Sonja introduces herself and shares her father's current Alzheimer's condition.
Sonja:
I am Sonja Redman and my father was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s June of this year. He still lives with my mom. They have their own home and after the diagnosis, my mother was in such a stressful condition that I was actually more concerned about her than I was about my dad.
Because he is 91 years old, he has a lot of pain, and what he classifies as "butt pain." He has been talking about this for years, and all the doctors cannot come up with, the latest thing is that his tailbone doesn’t have much flesh around it, so with him sitting all the time and not moving much, when he does move, he is in excruciating pain, and that’s all he can talk about. He’s got "butt pain."
