Dr. Alice Chung specializes in breast cancer. A woman with an abnormal mammogram who comes in to the John Wayne Cancer Institute would have her films reviewed by physicians. They would then take the patient's history and do a physical examination.

If a biopsy is needed, it can be arranged immediately. Often biopsies can be reviewed the same day as they are performed. The patient is informed as to the findings from the biopsy that same day as well. Plans then can be made for treatment very quickly.
