Dialysis Treatments: How Do You Schedule This When Traveling?

Rate This

Sharon explains how she is able to travel while maintaining kidney dialysis treatments.

Sharon:
I am a home hemodialysis patient. Because I do my dialysis at home I am able to schedule travel. I can take the top part of my machine wherever I go. It’s only 70 pounds, it’s allowed on the airlines, and when I get to my destination NxStage, who is the company that provides the supplies and the machine, will send my supplies to where I am at, and it’s a different setup but again, we’ve all been trained for that setup and it’s just very liberating because you can do it even in a motel room or wherever you are at.
