24yr. old 37 wks pregnant and is bleeding bright red blood. went to L/D Sunday pm they gave her macrobid. the bleeding is much worse now. Soaks threw panties and shorts

Hi Anon,

At 37 weeks, if there is bright red blood-- she needs to go back to the hospital. Macrobid is an antibiotic used to treat a Urinary Tract Infection and has absolutely nothing to do with bright red bleeding. What did they say in regard to the blood on Sunday?

Please, especially if she is feeling any sort of abdominal pain, go back to the hospital if the bleeding is getting worse... Bleeding late in pregnancy is considered a medical emergency.
