Hi, I am 48 years old and my regular period (every 26-28 days) is over 2 weeks late. My husband had a successful vasectomy over 15 years ago. I have done 2 pregnancy tests (both negative). No sign of my period arriving yet - could I be entering perimenopause?

Guide

Hello Anonymous,

Welcome to the EmpowHER community. It is very likely that you are beginning perimenopause. The fluctuations in estrogen levels during perimenopause cause irregular menstrual cycles. This is the first symptom.

You can find more information on the Perimenopause Home page.
