Hi, I'm a 16-yr old virgin. I just had a so-called my 2nd time of my sex-trial with my bf. The 1st happened in May 3, no penetration but no condom as well so my bf gave me postinor (we are afraid of the precum). Recently, we used condom, no penetration (nudging the tip to the hole only), but I'm not sure whether the condom leaked or not (maybe its sliding down or there was little hole that I didnt notice). After he came, I checked, so I'm sure the condom didnt break, at least no dripping from the tip of the condom, but the outside was slippery and got many fluids and I know mostly it was mine, but I'm not 100% sure it didnt leak. I am very nervous but I'm afraid to drink postinor again in such short time so i didnt take it. Now, a week later, I've been having stomach ache and mild cramp near my belly button and its left side for 3 days. No spotting, but the cramp is quite similar to menstrual cramp, just the place is a bit higher up (near belly button instead around lower pelvic area). No tender breast, but I have been tired sleepy and fatigued for 3 days also. My 1st day of period is July 4, it happened on July 15, I'm having 1st cramp on July 23. Is it implantation cramp? I also just finished medication for recurring colon infection on beginning of July. So, I know this might be bcos of me not having enough experience, but what's the probability of me pregnant? Thx a lot.

Hello Anon

Thank you for writing.

Pre-ejaculate itself does not contain any sperm. Sperm may be inside the urethra if a man ejaculated recently and did not urinate since. If he urinated since he last ejaculated, there is no sperm at all. Pregnancy is very uncommon from pre-ejaculate and the urethra would have to contain sperm at the same time. A woman would also have to be ovulating and engage in unprotected intercourse with ejaculation.
There was no need to take Postinor, don't take it unless you have unprotected intercourse - you can't get pregnant from what happened.
Keep using condoms and you'll be fine. You need to trust condoms, they are up to 99% effective. Your symptoms may be due to your recent illness or a side effect of the medication you took for it.
Best,

Susan

Hello Anonymous,

Welcome to EmpowHER. Thank you for reaching out to our community.

Postinor 2 prevents pregnancy by preventing ovulation. This protection lasts for one menstrual cycle.

Do not take another dose. ECPs are not to be used as regular birth control. Have your partner wear a condom, and you need to start using some type of birth control, such as pill,IUD or injection.

Regards,
Maryann
