Hi, My body has always been warmer than usual, and i have never been able to figure out the real reason. If i define the usual symptoms. Whenever I hold the hand or any friend he or she, always comments that my body is so hot, be it summers or winters. Whenever I touch any metallic object, i really feel like holding it as i feel so hot. My boyfriend also feels that my body is so hot :( and during summers it is very difficult. Winters are fine.
Otherwise I have no problems or symptoms, except that before my periods my body temp is a bit higher (more hotter!). Can you please tell me what can be possible reasons? one more things, I am overweight and have a family history of high blood pressure and diabetes. My age is 29(Female), and rest all is normal. I live in India which is a hot country (very difficult to survive if your body is hot like mine), Also I measure with thermometer, don't have fever at all.

Please help :)

Hi , I had the same problem. Always feeling hot. I was so moody and practically lived under my air conditioner to keep cool. Doctors could not find an answer. I have since started exercise and changed my diet. I have also started the pill to help reduce PMS issue.

My body's "normal" temperature is consistently 100-102 fahrenheit. I have, according to my parents, always had a very high body temperature. Mild Fevers for me run in what is the 'danger zone' for other people and my skin is always feverish.

As an infant they called me the nuclear furnace. He only issue I have come acoss is I am often uncomfortably warm. I figure if you're similar and you've always been warmer then that is just your normal.

If not it is mos likely a health concern and you should consult your primary care physician.

Wold you help me to get a solution please?

Hi Anonymous,
Thank you for your question and for finding EmpowHER. I bet if you asked twenty people, you would find some people "run hot," and some "run cold." Have you ever asked your doctor to help determine what could be causing this to occur? It's possible you may have a real medical reason why you always feel hot. It definitely may be worth your while to check it out, especially if it's been a while since you've received a comprehensive physical evaluation.
In the meantime, you can work on eliminating risk factors for diabetes, high blood pressure, and losing some weight may also help those things too.

Good luck, and let us know how you're doing.
