Are you suffering with these symptoms and in need of identifying the cause?
Contact with an irritant, such as detergent or harsh chemicals, causes itchy palms with no rash. Dry skin, which is common during the winter months, can be responsible. An infection, either bacterial or fungal, might be a reason. An allergic reaction to a medication or an underlying medical condition, such as kidney disease, can cause the palms and sometimes the soles of your feet, to itch and burn.
Try to isolate and eliminate possible causes. Wear plastic gloves when using detergents or harsh chemicals. Apply hand lotion if your skin is dry. Check the side effects of any medication that you may be taking.
If these tips don't relieve the itching and burning, consult your physician.
