Hi....i would like to know that me and my bf were dry humping i was on top of him but we had clothes on i had my trouser and he was in his jeans but i think his jeans were a little bit wet with semen as he had ejaculated a few minutes before...not in his jeans he ejaculated separately then wore the pants again but there was still some semen and pre ejaculate fluid on the penis that made the jeans wet and it was touching my vagina through my trouser....is it possible that i could get pregnant this way?

And also i had my period a week after it and it came a day late and was a bit abnormal than usual i had a lot more bleeding than usual and stuff like that...please let me know..thank you

Hello Anonymous,

Welcome to EmpowHER. Thank you for reaching out to our community with your question.

You did not become pregnant during dry humping. The proof was getting your period a week later and the flow was heavy.

There was no risk for pregnancy because you were wearing trousers which acted as a barrier.

Thank you so much for your reply...i am very worried because i read somewhere that you can get your period even when you are pregnent and sometimes it happens when the egg enters the uterus after fertilizing then you bleed just like you do when on period...i read some things like these in another article so can you please clarify on that if it is possible to have period or bleed when pregnent?

Guide (reply to Maha3118)

Hello Maha3118,

Anywhere from six to 12 days after fertilization, the quickly-growing embryo has moved down the Fallopian tubes to the uterus.

At this time, the embryo attaches itself to the endometrium, where it becomes reliant on a mother’s body — for the first time — for nutrients and oxygen.

When the embryo implants in the uterus, it can disrupt tiny blood vessels in the spot that it attaches. This won’t cause any problems (the endometrium recovers!) but some women will experience light bleeding, from pink to red to brown discharge. Such so-called implantation bleeding will likely arrive earlier than your expected monthly flow (usually around five to ten days after conception).

It lasts for about 2 to 3 days, does not increase to a flow, like a period and goes away on its own.

Bleeding during pregnancy is a sign that something is wrong. Heavy bleeding indicates a miscarriage or loss of the pregnancy.

Hope I have cleared up any confusion.
Maryann
