Thank you for sharing your question with the EmpowHER community.
There is no evidence that supports that you should not go swimming while having a UTI (Urinary Tract Infection).
However, even so, I would exercise caution because pools are a breeding ground for germs caused by both adults and children. Women are especially at risk because of tight fitting swimsuits that provide a warm moist area for bacteria to grow.
When trying to recover from a UTI, women are advised to avoid bubble baths, douches and feminine hygiene sprays.
If you are going swimming, be sure that your swimsuit is a comfortable fit and once you are done swimming shower and rinse with clean water and change into dry clothing as soon as you are done.
