Hello Anon
Thank you for your question!
A UTI itself is not contagious - as in, a person with a UTI cannot transmit it via sex like they can transmit a sexually transmitted infection.
However, the bacteria contained in a UTI can be transferred. This doesn't mean a partner will get the UTI but it causes conditions that can make it possible.

As a precaution, it's best not to have sex until a UTI is cleared up.

Best,
Susan
