It was unprotected sex but we used the "take out before he cummed" method. We had sex at 2:30 a.m. April 29. I took the Next Choice pill at 3:30 p.m. April 30 and the other pill 12 hours later. I took a pregnancy test to make sure I wasn't pregnant and it came out to be negative but I took Next Choice just in case. Its been 2 weeks simce my last period. Please help!!!!

Hi Anonymous,
You cannot be pregnant if you took Next Choice, which you did, within 72 hours of having unprotected sex. You took the pregnancy test two weeks later and got negative results. A urine pregnancy test detects hCG (pregnancy hormone) levels about 12 to 14 days following conception. So, you tested at the right time.

All you can do now is wait for your next period. Next Choice has a side effect of causing changes in the menstrual cycle. It can cause your period to start earlier or later than normal. Flow can be lighter or heavier than normal.

I hope this helps,
Maryann

I took the pregnancy test 2 days after intercourse and my last period was 2 weeks ago. I was scared it'd be to early to tell if I was pregnant so that's why I took Next Choice but Next Choice won't work if you're already pregnant..
