Can you get diseases from sitting in someone else's urine?

Here are some infections you will want to worry about: anthrax, cholera, dysentery, dengue, japanese encephalitis, rotavirus, tuberculosis and malaria. This is why I ALWAYS bring antiseptic wipes with me. Wipe down the seat, use a seat cover, always squat and the wipe yourself with the wipe afterwards. I usually try to also wear a mask so as not to breathe in the pathogens that float in the air after flushing. You should probably see a doctor as soon as possible and come with a list of potential diseases to rule out.

This is unlikely to happen.  Some people believe it's possible to get an STD this way.  If  there were any chances of contracting any bacteria, it would be the ones stated on my previous post.  Sexually transmitted disease are mostly passed on through intercourse and/or oral sex.

Welcome to EmpowHER.  It's unlikely you will pick up anything, unless you noticed the toilet paper touched any part of the seat it was dirty.   Things like streptococcus  staphylococcus, E. coli and shigella bacteria, hepatitis A virus, the common cold virus, and various sexually transmitted organisms. Are some of the bacterias that can be picked up in a public or dirty toilet.
