Hello Anonymous,

Postinor 2 and all emergency contraceptives are intended to be used in emergency situation, should NEVER be taken more than once in a one month period of time, and are NOT to be used as birth control.

Taking the pill as you did seriously upset the hormonal balance that regulates your menstrual cycle. Misusing the pill can make it ineffective, that means it will not work.

Please contact your gynecologist about this.

Maryann

Hello Anonymous,

Postinor 2 prevents pregnancy by preventing ovulation. You took the pill as directed. Now, you wait for vaginal bleeding. That is how you will know if it worked.

Hi. My period ended on 11th August. I had sex on 17th August but the condom broke and I'm not sure but my boyfriend may have cum inside me. I took 2 postinor pills two hours after that. My calendar said that my expected ovulation date was 18th August so I was really scared. We had sex again on 22nd August but this time it was protected. Today is 37 th August and I've been having lower abdominal pains and nausea since yesterday. Could I be pregnant? I'm so scared.

Hello Anonymous,

Vaginal bleeding is the sign that Postinor 2 prevented pregnancy. If you do not have any bleeding within 3 weeks of taking the pill, test for pregnancy.

Hello Anonymous,

It may not have worked. Postinor 2 prevents pregnancy by preventing ovulation. If you took the pill after ovulation, it may not have been effective.

If you do not have any vaginal bleeding within three weeks of taking the pill, test for pregnancy.

Hi I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend just after my period. I took the P-2 pill as directed and about a week later I had my period again (16th day of my cycle). Now my period is 8days late. Do you think I could be pregnant?
