My boyfriend and I decided to take a big step in our relationship yesterday, and had sex for the first time. At one point, the condom tore a bit and we stopped while he put another one on.
Please note that:
-He did not ejaculate (though I am aware of the possibility of pre-mature ejaculation)
-We were both virgins
-I am currently taking a birth control pill (1/35)
-When we engaged in intercourse I was on the "reminder" pill.
- I took a Next Choice One Dose two days after
In short, I'd like to know if any of this means I am pregnant.
Thank you!

Hello Anonymous,
It is unlikely that you are pregnant, but you will know that with certainty once you get your period.
The hormones contained int the active birth control pills, which you take during weeks 1 through 3, prevent pregnancy throughout the month. You are protected against becoming pregnant when you have sexual intercourse during the fourth week, when you are taking the inactive or reminder pills.
If taken within 72 hours after unprotected intercourse or a contraception failure, Next Choice is 89% effective in preventing pregnancy.
Hope this is helpful,
Maryann
