I took plan b after unprotected sex with my husband 2 1/2 weeks ago, exaclty on my most fertile day (didnt realize that until later). Had possibly breakthrough bleeding one week after that, one week before my expected period. Now I'm 5 days late of my scheduled period and have been having minor cramping (which i rarely if ever get regularly) and slight nausea. Whenever I did have any cramping before AF it only lasted one day tops! Any imput as to what could be causeing the cramping?

So last Monday (1-18) my boyfriend came over and we were fooling around and I gave him a blow job. Afterwards he fingered me but barely went in and we're not sure if he had semen on his fingers or not, but I'm still a virgin. I'm worried that I might be pregnant like my period is supposed to come next week but I've been stressing out over it and I feel like it might delay it. The more I read out it on google the more anxiety I have. My friend told me to calm down. She said if I think I'm pregnant my body is going to think so also. Can you help me?!

Hello, I had sex January 4th (last day of my period) and he pulled out because he felt something weird & he realized the condom was broken. He ejaculated the minute he pulled out but none of it got in me or even near me. I started bleeding a week after for 2-3 days which was weird because I just finished my period a week before. I had cramping and weird feelings in my uterus. I know Plan B usually takes out the lining of your uterus , which causes you to bleed. Now the bleeding stopped but I still feel bloated, full and I still have slight cramps.

Does this mean anything ?

Hello Anonymous,

So, you took Plan B. There was no need.

Without a released egg to fertilize, there was no chance for pregnancy. Ovulation occurs mid way in the menstrual cycle.

Ovulation can be calculated by starting with the first day of the last menstrual period (LMP) or by calculating 12-16 days from the next expected period.

Most women ovulate anywhere between Day 11 – Day 21 of their cycle, counting from the first day of the LMP.

Some women experience abdominal discomfort after taking Plan B.

The short time of bleeding could have been caused by the pill.

Please contact your physician about the bleeding, bloating and cramping.

Regards,
Maryann

Would it make a difference if I took 2 full doses of it? Like less of a chance than just taking 1 dose?

I had intercourse Friday night/ Saturday morning and took plan b within 2 hours. Then (stupidily) had sex again Saturday around 5am (pretty sure he didn't ejaculate this time) and took another plan b Monday at noon. Today (Tuesday) I'm cramping. I don't know if I already ovulated when I took it.

My questions are......is the cramping from the pill? Does that mean it's working?
And if I ovulated before will the pill still work?

Hi, I had unprocted sex the day before of my estimed date of ovalution. on that day felt like I was having ovalution cramping. It was until the next day in the afternoon I took the plan b pill. Now I'm a little worried that I might of released an egg and it got fertilized. What would be my chances of getting pregnant..
Any advice ... Thoughts anyone???

Jan 31 has unprotected sex. Took Plan B within an hour. Now experiencing fatigued and bloatiness. Feels weird in my uterus area. Kinda worried and stressed over it. Cramping a bit. These must be side effects of the pill? Any help and/or suggestions are appreciated! Thanks

Hello Anonymous,

Reported side effects of Plan B include nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, fatigue, dizziness, menstrual cycle changes, dizziness, breast tenderness, diarrhea and headaches.

I am assuming you meant you had unprotected intercourse on December 31.

If these symptoms persist or worsen, please contact your physician.

Maryann
