Hi,
Are you asking if it is safe to conceive while taking the drug Levothyroxine (I assume for hypothyroidism)? Thyroid conditions are only harmful in pregnancy when left untreated, and this drug is considered safe to use during pregnancy.

You and your husband have been trying to conceive since October 2009 (8 months)? I understand how frustrating this can be, and for many couples, it can take up to 12 months of regular, unprotected sex to conceive. Are you using any tracking methods or ovulation predictor kits to learn about your menstrual cycle? Some women this can help; others it creates more anxiety and stress.

What did your gynecologist say about your fertility? Did your doctor mention what your next steps can be, or was it suggested that you and your husband continue trying for 12 months?
