Hi Helena, I had sex with my boyfriend and took the pill the next day. I however took both pills at once after taking the pills we had unprotected sex 5-10 mins after taking the pills. Is it possible for pregnancy to occur

Guide

Hi, Anon.

Thank you for your post.

The pill(s) should be taken as soon as possible and within 3 days (72 hours). Although the second pill should be taken 12 hours after first, it won't harm you if you took them together. ECP can cause your period to be early or late, have a lighter or heavier flow, so just be aware of this. If you don't get withdrawal bleeding (some women don't) or your period is a week or more late, it's recommended to test for pregnancy. HPT's are accurate 14-21 days after sex.
