i hope you can help me as its about my 4 year old son.
i thought he had an ear infection as he said his ear was hurting my hubby took him to gp who said couldnt see the membrane because of ear wax..prescribed drops and weve been using for 2 days..my question is will the wax come out on his own or does it need to be done manually..gp s wont do it only ear nose and throats specialists will..its not an emergency but we are flying on sat and away for a week..will cost a fortune if it has to be done abroad..will it come out of his own accord and also will it cause him pain flying..many thanks..this is a wonderfull site and have recieved great advice on here that really put my mind at rest.

Hi Shellyruby - There are multiple types of ear drops that are prescribed for pediatric ear wax build-up. Without knowing what has been prescribed it is hard to tell you what the medication will do. Please see the following link for information on multiple pediatric ear drops, and if that does not help you can also try contacting your pharmacist for more information. Hope this helps and your family has a nice trip! Pat
