Hi, I just need to know that what should be the beta hcg levels in the bosy after having normal periods? Should it be zero or it can be anywhere less then 2 or 5?

Hello Anonymous,

Speak with your gynecologist/obstetrician.

The average levels of hCG in a pregnant woman’s blood are:

non-pregnant women - less than 5 milli-international units per millilitre (mIU/ml)
pregnant women, about 3 weeks after the last menstrual period - 5–50 mIU/ml

Hello Anonymous,

An hCG level of less than 5mIU/ml is considered negative for pregnancy, and anything above 25mIU/ml is considered positive for pregnancy.
