I have DCIS( second time) and am HER2+. No drugs, such as Herceptin have been recommended as the micro calcifications were very small. Since the cancer has returned(DCIS again) would drugs be a good idea??

I am sorry you are going through this diagnosis (again!).

The type of cancer you have, as well as many factors, determine the best forms of treatment. DCIS has different treatment recommendations, based on its stage/severity, cell structure, etc. Also your age, medical conditions, lifestyle factors...all combined create a very unique treatment profile that only you and your doctor can discuss.

What we can offer are basic treatment options for specific conditions (we can not tell you what is best for YOU), we can help you conduct research on these options, etc.
