Hi Anonymous,
Since you have irregular periods, you can purchase ovulation tests from your local Pharmacy, WalMart, etc. Finding your ovulation time as stated earlier will dramatically increase your chances of pregnancy.
Also since you have irregular periods, have you talked to your physician about trying for a baby? What did he/she say?
Good luck,

Hi Anonymous,
February 18, 2011 - 9:06amThank you for your question and for finding EmpowHER. If you have only been trying to conceive for 4 months, you may want to just keep at it. Have you been tracking your menstrual cycles so you can estimate when you are ovulating, so you can increase your chances of getting pregnant? A normal, healthy woman of childbearing age can expect to be 20% likely to get pregnant in any given month when she is trying to get pregnant. Most doctors recommend at your age to try to conceive for a year's time, then you can begin infertility counseling.
It is completely normal for the "white drops" to come back out after intercourse. There are some women who try to elevate their pelvis to keep all the sperm inside to increase their chances. But there are millions of sperm in ejaculate, so the odds are not bad, even with some lost after intercourse. Just keep trying. You may want to check out an EmpowHER Group for women trying to conceive, and check out other articles on EmpowHER about conception. Here's one of those articles that may be of interest:

Good luck, hope we hear some good news from you soon~
