how can i prevent miscarriage if i start vaginal bleeding

i was recently seen in my doctors office and was sent home to miscarry due to adominal pain and vaginal bleeding.. is there anything i can do because my cervix at time of examination was still closed and embryo had formed according to the ultrasound.. however im am only 6-7 wks and no heartbeat was picked up.. which after talking to others they said that the heart beat is usually very faint to 8wks..please help so scared i have to kids prior that i had no complications with

Hi Anon,

Welcome to EmpowHER.  There's not much you can do to avoid the bleeding and abdominal pain.  Most doctor recommend best rest, sometimes for a few months.  Why don't you try to get a second opinion from an OBGYN and see if the baby is still ok.
