Guide

Hello Anonymous,

Welcome to EmpowHER. I am glad you reached out to our community.

How long have you noticed this odor? How long ago did you have the hysterectomy?

The vagina should never smell bad. If it does, that's usually a sign of an infection or a bacterial imbalance.

If you had your ovaries removed, the lack of estrogen can cause a deficiency of the healthy bacteria that guard the vagina from abnormal germs and maintain the correct ph balance in the vagina.

Consider scheduling an appointment with your gynecologist, who can determine the cause of the odor.

Regards,
Maryann
