Hello Anonymous,

Welcome to EmpowHER. I am glad you reached out to our community with your concern.

Whether or not you might be pregnant depends on a few things.

You are most likely to become pregnant by having unprotected sex five days before and on the day of ovulation. Anonymous, when you had sex, a mature egg had already been released. Sperm can live up to five days inside a woman's body.

Anonymous, if this happened the day after ovulation, there was a chance for pregnancy.

How soon after sex did you take Postinor 2?

Postinor 2 prevents pregnancy by preventing ovulation. In your situation, ovulation already happened.

Anonymous, I suggest you speak with either your gynecologist or primary care physician. You can wait for any sign of vaginal bleeding or the start of your next monthly period.
If you do not have any bleeding within three weeks of taking the pill, you must test for pregnancy.

Maryann

Hi Faithadams,

There is nothing you can do now. As I said before, wait and see if you have any vaginal bleeding or get your next monthly period. That will tell you the pill worked.

If you are that anxious, call your doctor. If a blood pregnancy test is recommended, do know that you would have to wait at least two weeks from when you had sex to have the test done.
