I had my period that finished last week and 2 days later I have sore breasts, back pain, heart burn, feeling tired and can smell things more .Can I still be pregnant and thought I had a period but it wasn't ? I have a 1 year old who when I carried him from finding out till I had him 7 months I bled every time I went to the loo they said my placenta was low . What do I do? Shall I take a test or wait a while? Or could it be something else?

Last month me and my husband were trying to have a baby but then 3 weeks later I had lower back pains and cramp like feeling but then another 3 weeks later I had my period but my period was a week late. Does it mean I'm still pregnant or what? I took a pregnancy test and it came out negative

Hello Anonymous,

If you had a normal period, you did not become pregnant. The negative test result confirmed that.

Hello Sleekmo,

Do you usually have breast tenderness a week or so before your period is due to start?

If you are concerned that you may have become pregnant, you can test with an early response pregnancy test five days before your period is due.

You can wait and see if you get your period on August 4. If it is late by at least seven days, you can then test.

Naryann

I finished my period three days before I had sex with my boyfriend and the following day I just new I conceived. I felt different, i had mild lower abdomen crams as if my period was about to start again and yes I was right the test came back positive, so yes it is possible to immediately if u conceived your gut tell u and u feel it.

Hello Anonymous,

If you have a 28 to 30 day menstrual cycle, there was a good chance you were ovulating around the time of unprotected sex.

If this light bleeding is spotting, pink to brown in color and lasts only about 2 to 3 days, then it could be implantation bleeding and you are pregnant.

If your next monthly period is late by at least seven days, test for pregnancy. You can use an early response test which allows you to test five days before your period is due.

My last day of periods was 30 June and we had unprotected sex from 1st July, 3 days continuously, now I feel abdomen discomfort, fatigue, breast prickly, nausea. What it could be?

Hello Anonymous,

Even if you did become pregnant during unprotected sex from July 1 to July 3, it is far too early for these symptoms to be linked to pregnancy.

It is possible that your symptoms, abdominal discomfort, fatigue and breast sensation are the result of " 3 days of continuous" sex.

Maryann
