I had my period that finished last week and 2 days later I have sore breasts, back pain, heart burn, feeling tired and can smell things more .Can I still be pregnant and thought I had a period but it wasn't ? I have a 1 year old who when I carried him from finding out till I had him 7 months I bled every time I went to the loo they said my placenta was low . What do I do? Shall I take a test or wait a while? Or could it be something else?

Hello, me and my boyfriend had an unprotected sex on 20th july and next day on 21 july I was on my period. My bleeding was normal like usal period and it already ended on 24 july and now I am feeling some sort of minor cramp and lower back pain. Is it possible for you to get pregnant if you have unprotected sex the day before you get your peroid. Please help.

Hi Anonymous,

Not very likely. You had your period so that would mean you did not become pregnant during intercourse on July 20.

If the cramping and lower back pain persist or worsen, speak with your doctor. Something else may be going on.

Hello Anonymous,

It is too early to say if this brown spotting is your period. If it increases to a flow and lasts five to seven days, then it is your period.

Hi Anonymous,

How long do your periods normally last? One and a half days is really short.

Did you test in the morning? Did you use the urine when you first woke up and used the bathroom?

You can retest or just contact your gynecologist and report this. Your gynecologist can order a blood pregnancy test and can determine why your vaginal discharge has a strange smell.

I had my last period 25 June 2016 and that lasted till the 2 July 2016. My cycle is normal 28 day and I have medium to heavy flow and cramps during that time. I then had unprotected sex with my partner numerous amounts of time. Then on the 22 July 2016, I had very light bleeding start which was a rose pink and then it was so times brown. I used a tampon incase and usually my period fills one up but it wasn't fully filled. I had no cramps and it only lasted till the 26 July 2016, which the last two days consisted of a very light brown colour I would get if I wiped. Right now I'm feeling very fatigued and my left breast feels like it's bruised (very tender) I have also been having nausea but no vommiting.

Could I be showing early signs of pregnancy?

Hi Anonymous,

You could be pregnant. Take an early response pregnancy test. Test in the morning. Use the urine when you first wake up.

Hello Anonymous,

Even if you had unprotected intercourse since your period this month, it would be too early to have any early signs of pregnancy.

Frequent urination could be a sign of a urinary tract infection.
