I've read online that some show up within 1week, others 2 weeks and others 2 months. I want to do the right thing by my body. When is the correct time?

Hello, and thank you for sharing your question.

There is no best time to be tested for sexually transmitted diseases.  You can be tested at any time and the test will be accurate.

Of course there are many different kinds of STDs.  However, when you are tested for STDs they generally test for these 3: HIV, gonorrhea, and chlamydia.  These are the most common.  You can also be tested for syphillis, herpes, hepatitis B and hepatitis C if you wish.

Thank you for your response that is good to know. I will certainly wait a few more days and then book an appointment. You never know now a days if people are lying or not when they tell you if they are clean or if they tell you how many people they've slept with.
