I had my first intercourse and after a few hours i noticed something flesh/skin like poking out of my vagina. I think the flesh was bleeding. I do not feel pain or anything. (I have this oval like shape flesh in my vagina hole, and i think it is normal but then after a few hours of my first intercourse with my bf i noticed a flesh that is growing from that oval like shape, i'n not really sure how to describe it.) Thank you all for you help.

Hello ravis,

Welcome to the EmpowHER community. Thank you for reaching out to us with your question.

It is a bit difficult to determine what this is over the internet. It is possible that during your first intercourse, there was perforation of your hymen, which caused bleeding and noticeable tissue.
The hymen can be stretched open the first time a girl has vaginal sex, which might cause some pain or bleeding.

The hymen is a thin membrane that surrounds the opening to the vagina. Hymens can come in different shapes. The most common hymen in young girls is shaped like a half moon. This shape allows menstrual blood to flow out of a girl’s vagina.

ravis, consider scheduling an appointment with a gynecologist to have this examined. Now, that you are sexually active, it would be a good time to discuss birth control options.

Regards,
Maryann
