I think our health have something to do with recurrence outbreaks. The healthier we keep ourselves, including staying generally healthy, eating well, getting enough sleep, and managing the stress in life, the stronger our immune systems, and the less likely we are to have a herpes episode. As for reducing the frequency of the episode, I usually use antiviral drug like HSV-Zero because it greatly reduce healing time.

Hi Anon,
Thanks for your question-- Are you currently on any antivirals?
If you are, you can help speed up the healing process by applying cool cloths placed on blisters or sores
Taking Lukewarm baths, and wearing loose-fitting clothing.
If you are not, please schedule an appointment with your gynecologist so that he can prescribe an antiviral medication. In the meantime, you can take an over the counter medication for pain and follow my advice above. Also, remember to abstain from sex during your outbreaks.
Good Luck,
Rosa
