I've been getting my period for almost ten years and I have never been good at keep track because it came on so randomly. But it hasn't come on at all and it worries me at first I thought it was a yeast infection but I don't have symptoms. But sometimes when I wipe its white milky stuff and when I looked it up online it sad that it was something that happened before your period, that wasn't the first time it happened but I didn't know it happen before my period. But I still haven't got it. Is there something I can do to bring it on? Or a way to figure out whats wrong? I can't go to my sisters they're all younger than me and my mom is mom and it would be nerve wrecking to tell her and get her all worked up before I even know for sure whats wrong or I'm not overreacting. I'm not the skinniest person but I'm not obese either. This has never happened before. Please help.

I'm 18, haven't have sex since February. Always had regular periods or just 1-2 days late. My period should come on the 05 August, but it's 07 and it's not here yet. What should I do???

Hello Anonymous,

Six months without a period with a history of periods being regular is
good reason to schedule an appointment with a gynecologist.

Was this unprotected sex in February? Before calling to schedule an appointment, take a home pregnancy test. Test in the morning. Use the urine when you first wake up.

My period is about 4 days late, I have never had sex but I have dry humped with my boyfriend. We were both always fully clothed, and I've heard it's not possible to be pregnant, but I just need some reasurance. I woke up this morning and threw up and had the runs, but I'm not sure if it's due to something I ate yesterday ( since my stone did hurt then ), or from stressing about this, or something else. Please send advise, thank you

Hi, I'm 18 and my period is a about a week late, and I'm cramping really bad. There are no signs of spotting. I know I can't be pregnant because I've never had sex.

Hello Anonymous,

Stress. traveling, and increase in normal physical exercise are just a few factors that can cause a delay. Sorry to hear that you are cramping but that may indicate your period is about to start.

Hello Anonymous,

The first thing to do is to take a home pregnancy test. For the most accurate result, test in the morning as soon as you wake up.

If you get a negative result, stress can be the reason for the delay. During periods of high stress, the body produces more of the hormone called cortisol. In response, the body will shut down non essential functions, like the menstrual cycle.

Lastly, you can schedule an appointment with a gynecologist to find out the reason for irregular periods in the past few months.
You will be one step ahead by having already taken a home pregnancy test.

Keep in touch,
Maryann

Hi im 18. i dont get my period and its 2 weeks late for now, im sure that i didn't have intercourse with my bf, but he fingered me im sure he didn't have any semen in his fingers when he did it to me, its February when he did it to me and after two weeks later from that incident i got my period and at first its really light not like my usual or regular flow it lasted 3 days for the next 4 days it was like normal flow. In april when im supposed to get my period but it didnt came so i take a home pregnancy test and its negative again. But i feel nauseous and my breast hurts alot so im really scared and he said that we should make sure im not pregnant, to make sure i take 10 cytotecs (vaginal insertion for every 5 hours). During the procedure i didn't bleed its just spotting and brown like wet tissue discharge. At the last day of the procedure i get a big blood clot , almost 1 inch big after that i didnt bleed for 2 days. And the bleeding came back after 2 days and it's really heavy and there are some blood clots in there. In the 2nd week after that I have taken pregnancy test to check if the meds is effective and the result is negative. Its been 6 weeks since then i still dont have my period and i dont feel nauseous anymore but i have stomach cramps and i have white discharge. I again i have taken home pregnancy test and its negative. Please help me i dont know whats happening to me

Hello Anonymous,

You must be examined by a physician as soon as possible.

Cytotec is a pill which is prescribed to prevent stomach ulcers while you take NSAIDs, especially if you are at risk for developing ulcers or have a history of ulcers. It helps to decrease your risk of serious ulcer.

Used in combination with (mifepristone, Cytotec will end a pregnancy.

Anonymous, did you have pills? How did you get them? Why did you insert them in your vagina? Who told you how many to use and for how long?

Cytotec causes contractions of the womb. As a consequence, the womb expels the pregnancy. A woman can get painful cramps, vaginal blood loss that is more than a normal menstruation, nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea. There is a risk of heavy bleeding for which a woman will have to be treated by a doctor.

Maryann
