Anon,

Alison gave you great advice. And she's right -- you need some specific doctors to help you here.

What are you doing about your breast cancer? Do you have an oncologist? Do you know what kind and stage of breast cancer you have?

It is important that you work with a team of experts, as your medical conditions warrant specific treatments...and this includes specific eating plans as well. Please talk with your doctor about receiving a referral to a Registered Dietitian who can work with you on an ongoing basis to develop a weight loss and eating plan that is safe, healthy, effective and that you can specifically "stick with" in your lifestyle. No two eating plans are the same; no two physical activity plans are the same, especially when you also need to consider your medical conditions and current treatments.

Please come back to EmpowHER, after you speak with the R.D., and we would love to talk with you about what is suggested, how you can achieve your goals, talk about your food options and physical activity options (based on what your doctor and R.D. recommend; we can not recommend these to you) and help motivate you and/or to listen to your concerns. Let us know if you need any assistance finding an R.D. in your area as well.
