IUD and Bleeding after Sex

I'm 40yr old and had an IUD for 2 1\2yrs,...recently after sex I have very very light\spotting bleeding, usually continue as dark spotting for 2-3days...NO pain,but something feels funny deep inside during penetration..
Could it be my IUD has been displaced with intercourse and nicked a part of my body inside..... In the meantime I am waiting for GNYNO. referral.... Is this common??

The "very, very light spotting/bleeding" you experienced after sex can be normal for many women.

However, since you said you have a "funny, deep inside feeling" during penetration...if this is something that is a new symptoms, you know your body best and it is great that you are wanting to have a doctor check your IUD to be sure it is not out-of-place.
