Q:

For last 10 days I have pain under my left tonsil and painful to eat and left side throat too. Doctor gave me antibiotics along with pain killers. Now pain in same area only happens in the evening and subsides once I take painkiller. Not going.

I had fever earlier not anymore. Pain subsides when I take painkiller and it hurts more in the evening not in the day time. Earlier it was all the time. It hurts when I swallow during pain. No cough just tightness in the throat. Left side throat from out side hurts when I touch it. No fever. Earlier I had it. What should I do. Showed it to doctor who gave me another 5 days antibiotics. I always have a bad history of tonsils. Never smoked or taken alcohol.

Hello. Thank you for posting.

It's good you are seeing the doctor and are being treated. It's not uncommon for some infections to linger and even need a second round of medication. If your condition worsens or you are no better after finishing your 2nd course of treatment, contact your doctor.
