Hi Anonymous,

I'm very sorry to hear about your husband's pain. There are numerous reasons for lower right back pain and although you still don't have an answer, it's good to know that his organs are not the cause. One reason why he may still be feeling this pain is because he could have a muscle strain, which is a very common reason for lower right back pain. Other reasons include herniated discs or Degenerative Disc Disease (DDD), for example, is a common cause for lower back pain, right side and is often associated with aging. As you get older, your discs, like other joints in the body, can degenerate. DDD is a natural part of growing older as your body deals with years of strain, overuse, and compression. Normally, DDD causes pain in the spine, but some cases have been known to cause lower back pain, right side.

Has he had an MRI done? It would be beneficial for him to be tested thoroughly to find out what is causing the pain.

Wishing you both the best,

Rosa
