hi! my bf n I had sex on the 25th feb (my period just ended, on the 24th), he inserted for about 2mins without condom n no ejaculation as we did not plan to have it that day. and we are not sure whether there was pre-ejaculation or not. i took the pills on the 26th feb at 4pm and the second one 12hours later at 4am. i had bleeding as a side effect after 3-4days and the bleeding lasted for about 5days but with little blood flow on the 4th n 5th day. My scheduled period was on 20th march, but today is already the 23rd. should i wait till the 27th? (since it says that the period may come late by 7days) i also do have sharp stomach pain like maybe once or twice and also the past few days i started noticing rashes/spots (i’m not sure) around my tummy n breast area. and my family started noticing yesterday that my face is abit pale. please do give me advice (-:

Hello. Thank you for posting.

Given all your information, I don't think pregnancy is a concern because there was no ejaculate. Pre-ejaculate fluid in itself does not contain sperm. Sperm can be picked up the urethra if a man has not urinated since a recent ejaculation. But once he urinates, any sperm would be flushed out.

As for emergency contraception, it can cause a delay in your next period, so just be aware of this. We don't know why you are feeling ill. You might be coming down with a virus or are stressed over thinking you might be pregnant. For future, insist on a condom so you won't have this worry.

Hi,

You took the pills either way, so it does not really matter at this point. But you did say there was no ejaculation. So, you need to be aware of what is going on during sex.

If you have doubts, a pregnancy test will give you your answer if your period is delayed by more than 7 days.

Hi Helena! i'm the same person that asked the main question, just want to ask again, i took a pregnancy test kit on the 27th morning and it was negative. My period has already been 9 days late after my scheduled period (20th march) and i have been getting my normal pms symptoms, like headaches and skin breakouts. Is it possible for me to be pregnant? How long should i wait to see a doctor and to get a checkup?

Hi,

Your test is negative. This indicates you are not pregnant. We have helped you all we can. See your doctor if it eases your mind.
