Hello,
I was on my 6th day of my cycle (just finishing my period). The condom split so I took the first tablet of postinor2 2 hours later (1am). We then had unprotected sex 6 hours later (7am). I took the 2nd postinor tablet 3 hours later(10am).
8 days later I had heavy bleeding lasting 4 days. Firstly, is this a sign that postinor worked?
Since then i have had no sign of my period.
In the last 2 weeks (aboit 22nd day of cycle) I have had the flu and been unwell. This has all made me quite anxious.
My period cycle is quite irregular.

Hi,
Did you read about the possible side effects of taking the pill? This info should accompany the medication. Cramping, spotting or withdrawal bleeding are common. What you had was withdrawal bleeding, which is a menstrual bleed that you get 2-7 days after taking ECP where endometrium is shed off reducing any chances of an implantation and preventing pregnancy. ECP can cause irregularity in your cycle, so just be aware of this if your next period is early or late, or there is a change in flow.

Hi,I had my period on the 3rd of July it ended on the 5th of July I had unprotected sex on the 8th of July I took postinor 2 the next day, I was supposed to see my period on the 31st of July but I haven't and today is 5th of July.

Hi,
I think you mean today is the 5th of August, not July. ECP may cause irregularity, so this is likely why your period is delayed. However, it's recommended that if you don't get your period within a week of the expected date, to test for pregnancy.

Hi! Please I had unprotected sex on the 30th of June and the 1st of July...i took postinor 2 on the 1st and second as per 2tablets. I haven't seen my period till now. July is over, August just started I'm becoming worried. I did a strip test last week and i tested negative to pregnancy but im confused and scared. What do I do?

Since your test is negative there is nothing to do. P2 can delay the next period for several weeks in some cases. You'll have to wait it out.

My period finally came on the 8th of August and ended on the 14th which has never happened to me. Highest I've done is 3-5days. By I'm glad and feel relieved too! Thanks helena

hi,
I had sex on the 5th day of my cycle and the next day I took postinor 2 and then 14 hours later I took the second pill. After just a few days of my cycle I already got my period which means my previous cycle was really really short. Is it normal?

Yes, this bleeding is normal, this is a side effect of taking P2. Your cycle should sort itself out in the next month.
