Someone told me it is a fungus and to use shampoo with fungicide.

Well I used to tan years ago and certain areas wouldn't tan and I'd have a whitish blithely here + there but never on my arms. Now I have like dots that are white, not pretty, not bothersome but don't like the looks of them. Someone told me there's a cream and someone also told me it's a fungus and I thought they said head and shoulders helps even out your skin reducing white little dots

Guide

Hello Anonymous,

Welcome to EmpowHER. I am glad you reached out to our community.

Consider scheduling an appointment with either a dermatologist or your primary care physician. These spots need to be evaluated by a doctor, in person.

Based on what you have shared, I wonder if these white spots indicate loss of pigmentation and might be linked to past tanning and sun exposure.

Keep us updated,
Maryann
