Hello. I had sex the other day without using a condom, but I am very close to perfect with taking my pill-I can't tell you the last time I forgot, and I take it within the same half hour window every night.

My period came four days later, So, can I believe that I am NOT pregnant? I switched pills a couple months ago (this was my second cycle on my new pill). My relationship with this person has gotten more complicated as of late, but I was wondering what my chances of pregnancy are.

Guide

Hello Anonymous,

You can rest assured that you are not pregnant. You had your period.

Each month, when you have your period, the lining of the uterus is shed, thus the vaginal bleeding. During pregnancy, the uterine lining remains intact, and you do not have a period.

Continue taking your birth control as regularly and consistently as you have been.
